Christmas in Canada

It's a bizzare feeling experiencing a white Christmas for the first time..for me Christmas means; bbq's, mangos, searing sun, beaches and mates!

This year it was all about snow, egg nog, turkey dinners and mulled wine...in between working all day and night and battling the cold Santa gave me ;)

Canada - welcome to my hometown

After I clocked off work today the village looked extra ridiculous, it was puking with snow and the sun was peeping through the clouds.

Here's my hometown, the village and the walk from work I'm blessed to do every morning.

Canada week 5

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas here in Whis, with all the lights beaming  every night and carols being blared it's hard not to get into the festive spirit.

Work has been busy busy and the sun goes down just after 4pm but today we managed to go on a quick hike in the rain to visit Lost Lake - once a crystal clear lake surrounded by multicoloured leaves is now a blue kaleidoscope of ice and snow..

Canada week 2

Week 2 in whistler has been all kinds of rad!

Hiked from Whistler Village through to Lost Lake Park to take one of the many hiking trails around the Lost Late Loop and gaze in wonder at the epicness it offered.

We also took the bus to Function Junction, a 10 min drive away from the village and walked the train tracks to find the abandoned remains of a train wreck which now serves as a canvas for local and international street artist, detouring on the way to chill by Cheakamus River.
